Prohibited Servers and services
Offering any public information service such as running a web server
or FTP server from a dial-up account is prohibited. The use of IRC
bots is prohibited, as is the violation of any accepted policies
on IRC servers. If Blue Frog is banned from a server, the offending
Account will be terminated and financial damages may be charged.
Disk space and bandwidth allowances.
Disk space is determined by the total number of bytes required to store
a Member's data. Bandwidth utilization is determined by the total number
of bytes transferred to or from a Member's Account. Use in excess of
the standard disk space and bandwidth allowances is not permitted on
Blue Frog's servers. Blue Frog may allow Members to exceed their hard
quota temporarily, but always reserves the right to modify "hard" and "soft" disk
and bandwidth limits at its discretion. If you require additional disk
space or bandwidth on a regular and repeated basis, you must purchase
this service separately.
E-mail
The sending of unsolicited commercial e-mail is prohibited. Using a
Blue Frog e-mail address to collect responses from unsolicited commercial
e-mail is prohibited. Sending large volumes of non-commercial, unsolicited
e-mail is prohibited. Sending threatening, harassing, or illegal e-mail
is prohibited. Any user found to violate spamming policies will be
charged a minimum of $150.00 per message sent or received, or the maximum
allowed penalty by law, whichever is greater.
Unsolicited Advertising.
The Member agrees not to post or transmit, en masse, any unsolicited
advertising, promotional materials, or other forms of solicitation
to other Members, individuals, or entities, except in those areas (e.g.
the classified areas) that are designated for Member purposes. Any
user found to violate this policy will be charged a minimum of $1 per
email message sent or received, plus a management fee to pay the costs
of responding to complaints and inquiries, investigate the claims,
conduct research, bill the Member, respond to emails, accusations and
other correspondence related to the incident, and remove the offending
Account.
Newsgroups
" Newsgroup spamming" (excessive cross posting, or posting the same
article to several newsgroups) is prohibited. Generally accepted standards allow
no more than 15 newsgroups, or cross-postings, for a single article or substantially
similar articles. Continued posting of off-topic articles to newsgroups is prohibited.
Please note that commercial advertisements are considered off-topic in the vast
majority of newsgroups. Any user found to violate these policy will be charged
a minimum of $150.00 per message sent or received. |
